2010 Reliability Trial - Sunday 7th February
The weather for the 2010 running of the Old Portlians Reliability Trial was cold and grey but this was such an improvement on recent conditions that many riders were encouraged to take part. The event was well attended with over 100 entrants. Of the 105 entered in the trial, 75 rode the 100K distance and 30 did the 68K.
No dramas or accidents were heard of but several seemed to manage lengthy unplanned detours !
All club members who helped run the event deserve thanks but particular mention should be made of Steve and Dave at the 68K checkpoint, Paul and Ian at the Ashdown checkpoint and tea stop and Gary and Colin for the HQ refeshments, not forgetting all who made cakes.
Read a report of the Old Portlians Reliability Trial on the

liked the "Old Skool" style of the event
honest, down to earth approach
those blokes with the camper in the car park on the Ashdown were a little bit odd but nice in a quirky sort of way
where could they buy a van like the one on the checkpoint..etc?
could someone publish the recipe for the flapjack on the website
can you repaint the inside of the hall, it looks a bit drab
