We strongly encourage that all riders become members of British Cycling ( minimum:'RIDE' Level membership - Approx. £37 per year) BRITISH CYCLING MEMBERSHIP which includes third party liablility insurance as well as other benefits.

In addition as group rides are exactly that, we also encourage that participants of group rides aquaint themselves with the etiquette of group riding by reading our guide to club ride etiquette which can be accessed from the club info menu or clicking HERE. Saturday Club Rides

Meet at the roundabout at the bottom of Corkscrew Hill, West Wickham - see map - on Saturdays at 9:45 for a 10:00am depart for a leisurely ride of about 30 mile. This is for all abilities and is a really good way to meet us. Run at an easy pace, we ensure that all riders stay together and the average speed expected is 13-14 mph. This is the ideal ride for those who wish to get to know the Old Ports the easy pace encouraging lively conversation and banter.

The routes meander through the lanes via Downe, Knockholt and Halstead to a very pleasant cafe where tea, coffee, buns or sandwiches are consumed with gusto. Following this break the ride returns to West Wickham arriving back around 13:00.

If you have any questions then please email who will be able to answer any questions you may have.

Or just turn-up and ride !

The ride is open to members and non-members.

Sunday Club Rides

The ride will depart from outside Cafe Nero (55 High Street, West Wickham BR4 0NX) - see map - at 09:00 (during British Summer Time) and at 9.30 during winter for a ride of 50 to 60 miles. Participants are likely to congregate 30 minutes before the departure time for a caffine fix. Please see the events column on the homepage for next meeting time.

This ride is more energetic than Saturday and depends to a great extent on the riders who take part but expect an average of 15-16 mph and multiple hill climbs over the North Downs with accumulated vertical ascent in the region of 3,000ft.

Riders who have experienced the Saturday group speeds and want to step up are more than welcome as the ethos 'nobody gets left behind' is prevalent on Sunday Club runs as well as Saturday.

It is not a fixed route although it generally runs through the lanes of Kent and Surrey borders. If numbers exist then we will split into two complimentary groups of similar abilities.

As this ride is of a more sporting nature than the Saturday ride we would expect that you are capable of riding in a group at the above average speed and have a fitness level where you can comfortably cover a solo 50 mile, rolling route, in under three and a half hours (which is an average speed of just over 14 mph). New or returning riders are advised to join the Saturday group in the first instance. Or just turn-up and ride !

The ride is open to members and non-members.
