Eastbourne ride, 7-9 March 2008 Places still available!!!
Join us on the weekend 7- 9 March 2008. Starting from Corkscrew Hill at 10.30 on Friday 7th March we ride down. Lunch at a Cafe on the Ashdown Forest....arriving in Eastbourne before teatime. Evening is spent at a local pub which serves great beer and food...in the very best of company. On Saturday we take a ride through the local countryside. Returning Sunday morning whence we came, we wend our weary way home.....regailing ourselves with tales of mishap and joy as we go."
Costs will be approx as follows:
£25 per person per night for bed and breakfast
On top of that you will need say £10 for lunch on way down, £50 for beer and meals Friday and Saturday evenings, and £10 for lunch on way back.
So £25+£25+£10+£50+£10 = £120

Old Ports Road Races Saturday 10th May 2008
These races are organised on behalf of the Surrey league. They will be held on the MOD Chertsy circuit
The event for third category riders, juniors is at 10am(start)and women at 10:01am. 2 races at the same time although the women do fewer laps.
At 11:15 the Elite/cat1/2 race will start and at 11:16 the 3rd cat race will start. So again, 2 races at same time, 3rds do 5 laps less
Marshalls and helpers are required so lend a hand if you can.
The event is run under the auspices of the Surrey Cycle Racing League and full details for entry of the event will be found on their website here
Evening Time Trial Series; Starts Thursday 1st May 2008
Every Thursday at 7:30pm, from the first Thursday in May to late August, we run a club time trial on a sporting course based on the Crowhurst Road race circuit. The event consists of 2 laps of the 6.25 mile circuit. The HQ for the event is the Crowhurst village Hall car park and the start is immediately opposite the car park. it is traditional, after the race, for some members to retire to the Brickmakers Arms for refreshment and sustenance. Members of other clubs are welcome to ride. There is a £1 fee.

Bashers Brighton Bash: 13 August 2008
Every year 'Bashers' Bashford leads a trip to the seaside at Brighton and back. The ride consists of 2 groups; the first, more leisurely, ride starts at 8:30am and the second at 9:30. Both groups meet at he top of Titsey Hill by the new roundabout.
We may start at different times but we meet, inevitably, at a cafe near Rodean school in Brighton for refuelling and much banter. We then ride home together. Great fun!
End Of Season 'Detraining' ride to Eastbourne
Friday 3 October to Sunday 5 October 2008
After a hard season straining to be the best you can be, why not join us on the weekend 7-9 October for a celebration and an acclimatisation to going slow again. Even if you haven't been straining throughout the season you will enjoy this one!!

Traditional easy ride form bottom Corkscrew Hill, West Wickham to the Polhill Arms where sandwiches and beer by a roaring log fire. Start 10:15 from Corkscrew.
Weekend rides, Saturdays and Sundays
We meet by the roundabout at the bottom of Corkscrew Hill, West Wickham.
Saturdays meet 10:15 to 10:30am for a more leisurely ride. about 30 miles
Sundays meet at 9:15 to 9:30am around 50 miles
